Our Beginning

Why Arizona Rock & Mineral Company Exists

The company began after a hobby-shop search could not turn up natural-looking scenery for a layout. Local rock was collected, screened into useful sizes and displayed on a layout at a Phoenix train show. Modelers immediately wanted to know where they could buy it. That demand became Arizona Rock & Mineral Company.

Today we make real-rock ballast and scenery materials for N, HO, O and G Scale layouts, with colors and textures chosen to help modelers create believable railroad regions and scenes.
