What Are You Building?

Choose the size of your project. Each guide gives you a shopping list, glue method, build order, and finishing tips.

The Four-Layer Scenery System

1. ShapeBase, foam, cork, sculpting paste, or terrain shell.
2. GroundFine sand and small rock establish the main surface.
3. FeaturesLarger stones create outcrops, rubble, banks, and focal points.
4. FinishPigments, washes, plants, and details blend everything together.

Choose the Material

Use finer grains near a miniature’s feet and larger stones as deliberate features. Mixing two or three sizes looks more natural than covering everything with one uniform grade.
