What is the appropriate size ballast for On30 narrow gauge? Would I use regular O scale sized ballast or HO sized ballast?
The line I’m planning to model is an actual narrow gauge railroad that runs across the desert and on much of it, desert sand rests on top of whatever ballast is below the sand but there are some spots where the ballast is visible. I will be using ballast as the base but it’s the size of that ballast that I can’t figure out.
